Spontaneous! November 10, 2008

One of the many reasons I love my Christopher is because he said this to me last night, "Why are we driving half way to Disneyland and not going the rest of the way?".  Chris has a meeting for work this Wednesday in St. George and we had planned to turn it into a little family get away and go with him and then tack on an extra night at Zion National Park.  Well, thanks to my honey, last night we decided to cut out Zion and head straight to southern California after his meeting instead!  Can it really be true that I'm blessed enough to get to go to Disneyland with my sweet little family not once but twice this year?!!!  I'm so excited.  We are going to drive down to St. George on Wed, play for the rest of the afternoon, then Chris will go his meeting that night.  Then early the next morning we'll drive to the beach and Chris can go surfing.  Then Friday we'll spend all day long at Disneyland!!!  Then Saturday we'll have a really long drive home...but it will all be worth it.  We're going to Disneyland!!!

This probably belongs in my private journal, but I'm too tired today to actually write it out by hand.  It's so much easier to type.  So, this is going to be long, and not too cleverly written, but there are things I wanted to think about and say, and some things that I wanted to put in here, so rather than write it twice it's just all going in here.  If you're not interested, then skip it! A Sick Mommie's Two Best Friends... January 18, 2008

Fruit snacks and television!  So, my prediction was right.  I got sick.  Noah had it for a week starting the day before his birthday, then Chris got, now it's my turn.  It hasn't been the end of the world, and at least it wasn't during Christmas (although I'm pretty sure a Christmas party started the whole thing...)  I guess you can't avoid being sick forever and a cold is just a cold.  Either I'm a whimp, or being sick and being a parent at the same time is hard.  Noah is so cooped up!  He's been such a trooper.  As long as I keep the toys out, the movies on, and the snacks coming, he's pretty alright.  We're going to be so happy when this is all over though!  We're going everywhere and going to have lots of fun.  That's what I keep telling myself.  Chris is getting ready to start his "busy" season at work on Monday.  This is the time of year we gear up for all year long.  He's going to be working a lot of late nights and br

A Bang-em Up Weekend... July 04, 2008

Happy 4th of July!  In true Parker style we have been celebrating and doing fun things all weekend long, which for us started Thursday afternoon when Chris got off work early.  3rd of July: Thursday afternoon we took Noah to go see the new Disney/Pixar movie Wall-e.  It seemed like the perfect way to start the weekend.  We loaded up, literally.  I'm an honest person, but I just can't help myself when it comes to smuggling treats into the movie theater in my purse.  Call me cheap, or that it's fun to feel sneaky...I don't know.  So, we got to the theater in time to have a bit of time to get settled before the previews started.  I could tell Noah felt like such a big boy because we let him hold his own ticket, give it to the ticket taker guy, carry his own booster seat, and choose where we sat.  It was really fun to watch him.  He loved the previews.  He sat so still in his little chair with his big, bright eyes watching every trailer.  After a few, he asked for the
