Halloween 2007... November 01, 2007

We were too busy having fun on Halloween to take very many pictures.  That and I already have cute pictures of Noah in his costume from a few months ago when we got home from China  and tried the outfit on him.  He made a cute little chinese boy for Halloween though, didn't he?  As an added bonus, I didn't get major burns on my fingers from hot gluing his costume together like I did last year either!  This picture is Noah at Chris' office having fun turning the lights on and off.

Our fun Halloween day started when Noah and I showed up to Daddy's work to take him out to lunch.  We went to this perfect, quiet little place in the avenues with fancy food and Noah was actually an angel.  (Usually he doensn't have the best eating out manners.  He's one.)  It's so nice to spend time together as a family.  If we had it our way, we'd be together all day long every day.  Then we went back to Chris' work, dressed Noah in his costume, and took him trick-or-treating around the office.  Everyone there loves Noah and they are always so nice to make such a fuss over him when we bring him in.  They all thought he was adorable in his costume and gave him treats for his bag.  Noah was confused as to why he should put the treats in his bag instead of just eating them on the spot, so that took a little coaching.  Then we stayed for their office's quarterly birthday party and had juice, cookies, and donuts.  Chris, Noah, and I spread our plates out in the middle of the floor and made it into a treat picnic.  It was great.  Then we took Noah home for a nap.
Later that evening we dressed Noah back up in his costume for trick-or-treating around the neighborhood.  We had so much fun together; all three of us went.  This time Noah seemed to understand more that the treats were supposed to go in his bag and not in his tummy.  It was fun to see all the other neighborhood kids out there in their cute little costumes.  Afew of the older kids were dressed in some not so cute and kindof scary costumes.  Noah was kindof scared.  At one of the houses a kid answered the door wearing a scary mask and from then on out Noah was afraid of what was going to be behind the door when it opened.  Isn't it cute how innocent little ones are?
After about a half an hour we took him back home, Chris stayed there to pass out candy, and I took Noah over to go trick-or-treating with his cousins Mason (5) and Kim (3) and his Aunt Linda.  By this time it was dark so I gave Noah a flashlight and I think he thought that was the best part of Halloween.  He loved shining it on everything and especially on Mason.  By that point he was really starting to get the hang of going to the door, saying "trishtreat" (that's kindof how it sounded when he said it), and getting candy for his bag.  He was having so much fun with Mason and Kim, who weren't scared at all, that I think he forgot about being scared too.  He ened the night by getting to have a messy red sucker.  I think it was just about perfect.
