Lucky Day... August 13, 2007

Last Saturday was a lucky day.  When Chris woke up he decided to go run the 5k he'd been thinking about running but wasn't sure he wanted to do.  Laura and Nobo were still sleeping, and he figured he'd go running whether or not he did the 5k anyway, so he might as well go.  It turned out that he came in 2nd in the men's section and, lucky for us, he won a $100 gift card to Target!  This was lucky for Noah, because he finally got the bike he's been talking about.  Every time he sees someone riding one, he is totally fascinated.  He will say, "bike! bike! bike!" over and over when he sees a picture of one, and runs straight to them when he sees them in the store.  Every boy needs a bike, and Sat. was Noah's lucky day:  his Daddy won him a bike!  (or at least the money for one!)  Before we took Noah to the store to buy his bike, Chris took him out to the garage to show him Daddy's bike and in Chris' words, "to find out from Noah what he wanted in his bike."  It turns out Noah wanted one just like Daddy's with a seat, and pedals, and handlebars.  That's just what he got, and he loves it!  Here's a picture of Chris putting it together and Noah on his first ride.
